Thanks for your input - you're right - they are doing the best they can, however, the reactions and feedback from others should give them a clue - for some, it doesn't -

This is such an interesting perspective.
I've worked for myself for so long - and I don't hire bullies.
And I was personally fortunate enough not to encounter this when I worked as a corporate attorney for Michigan Hospital Association.
BUT, my beloved husband went through this all the time - his answer "we're all bozos on this bus" - which explained his human behavior to those who were attacking him. He'd admit any mistakes and put the other person in their place somehow - though I don't remember how.
I live by that expression that every person - no matter how twisted they seem and how much havoc they are raising - is doing the best they can with their situation and at some level, their behavior though reprehensible makes perfect sense in the grandest scheme of things.
It doesn't make it any easier to deal with though and my sympathies and support go to those innocent victims that are the ones that speak up against this kind of behavior.
On the show "Survivor" there is a character Russell who is an absolute master at "getting rid" of anyone who speaks up against him and a keen observer of opportunities where this might happen. He kind of reminds me of a "mini" Hitler though I find myself fascinated with how he pulls this off.
After reading your article, his behavior is actually kinda scarey.
I have to remind myself that that is a reality show - and not life - though it mimics life in many ways.
Great article.
